Spring in Helsinki – May

Early spring by the seashore in Helsinki. Days are already very long, about 17 hours of daylight. Trees have only tiny leaves if at all. Birches have unusual amount of catkins and are full of pollen. Lots of birds have already arrived in Finland and lots more, like geese are migrating at the moment to Finland. The weather in the first part of May has not been very warm, around +10C with a couple of warmer days.

This video is taken at the seashore of Helsinki, about 3 km from the city centre.
